Wayne Jordan, Story Guide and Keeper of the Good Stuff

If you’ve ever felt like your best stories were too ordinary to matter—Wayne Jordan is here to prove you wrong.

Wayne is the voice behind The Memoir Club Podcast, but more than that, he’s your friendly guide through the sometimes messy, often hilarious, and always meaningful world of memoir storytelling.

He’s a certified Guided Autobiography instructor, a seasoned Story Stitch facilitator, and a longtime collector of life’s overlooked moments. Based in Galax, Virginia, Wayne brings decades of experience as a writer, editor, performer, and all-around story wrangler.

You might’ve read his work in Kovels Antique Trader, regional newspapers, or WorthPoint, where he served as Senior Editor. You might’ve heard him spinning yarns onstage at festivals from Clifton Forge to Richmond to Floyd. And if you’ve got a kid in Henry or Patrick County schools, there’s a good chance he’s made them laugh and think with a story or two.

Wayne has authored four books, ghostwritten several more, and helped bunches of people find their voice through memoir storytelling. His blog, Blue Ridge Tales, is a gathering place for Southern storytelling and mountain memories.

When he’s not recording the next podcast episode, you’ll find him telling stories at the June Bug Center’s Blue Ridge Story Space, scribbling notes in a worn-out composition book, or reminding folks that even the quietest lives are full of stories worth sharing.

Let’s make your story part of the conversation.
